The online registration for the PM Laptop scheme is now open. This scheme is available for students who are studying at universities and institutes recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). If you are eligible, you can apply directly on the portal. The last date for online registration is June 20, 2023.

To apply, you need to register or update your profile on the Students’ Service Portal. You can do this through the website or the mobile app.

Eligible universities include public sector universities and degree-awarding institutes, including their sub-campuses, recognized by HEC. You can find a list of eligible universities on the HEC website.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR PM LAPTOP SCHEME 2023 STARTS

There are certain criteria you need to meet to be eligible for the PM Laptop scheme. You should have enrolled in your program on or after specific dates mentioned in the table below:

For a Ph.D. program, the duration is 5 years, and you should have enrolled on or after June 30, 2018, and before June 30, 2023.
For an MS/MPhil or equivalent program, the duration is 2 years, and you should have enrolled on or after June 30, 2021, and before June 30, 2023.
For an MBA program, the duration can be 3.5 years, 2.5 years, or 1.5 years, and you should have enrolled on or after December 31, 2019, December 31, 2020, or December 31, 2021, respectively, and before June 30, 2023.
For a Master’s program (16 years), the duration is 2 years, and you should have enrolled on or after June 30, 2021, and before June 30, 2023.
For an undergraduate program, the duration can be 5 years or 4 years, and you should have enrolled on or after June 30, 2018, or June 30, 2019, respectively, and before June 30, 2023.
You must have a valid CNIC or B-Form number, and you should be a valid student as of June 30, 2023.

The laptop distribution and selection process involves submitting an application online. The system will review the applications based on the eligibility criteria. University focal persons will verify the student’s information, such as name, CNIC, department, degree level, and last exam percentage/CGPA, through an online account. The focal person has the authority to approve or reject applications and make necessary corrections. Laptops will be distributed to each institute based on a predefined quota and the merit criteria.
