The choice to appear in either the annual exam to improve specific subject marks or the entire exam is up to the student. Once their result is improved, they will not be allowed to retake the exam.
For those aiming to improve their SSC or 10th class result, they must complete the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). Candidates looking to enhance their overall grades from E or D are allowed 4 chances until they achieve a grade of C. If a candidate wants to improve their exam after a gap of two years from passing the SSC exam, they will need to provide an affidavit stating they have not obtained a higher qualification.
The Result Sheet or result card and Certificate issued by the Board should indicate the number of attempts made by the candidates. Candidates who appeared in the SSC Examination (Annual) from 2020 onwards can also avail themselves of these opportunities if they haven't previously improved their matric or SSC results.
