According to the media news, a meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, in which the education ministers of the four provinces participated through video call. Matriculation and Intermediate examinations were part of the agenda, while suggestions for other classes were also considered.
As we new that their are many boards who have announced date sheet 2021 for Matric and Inter exams.
Addressing a press conference the Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that decisions were taken in today’s meeting in consultation with the education ministers of the four provinces. Last year we passed some children without exams, but it has been decided that no one will get any grade without giving examination, and the exams will be held in any case.
Shafqat Mehmood further said that the decision to open or close educational institutions is not very easy, we also have to make difficult decisions in these tough circumstances, schools continued to be closed and reopened during the Pandemic and lockdowns, Due to which the students did not pay attention to education in unison, and their education was affected, however, the meeting decided that the examinations will be held in any case, all decisions will not change and will bear any pressure.
“After consultation with all the provinces, it has been decided that all the educational institutions will be reopened from June 7. Earlier, we had decided to conduct the exams after June 24, but now it has been decided that the children should prepare for the examinations,” he said. Time should be given for this and now after 10th July there will be 10th and 12th class exams and only after these exams there will be other exams, while there will be a suitable interval in each paper so that the students can prepare for paper easily.
So the difficult decision has been taken to improve the Pakistan education any way.
Shafqat Mehmood said that the complaint of non-completion of course work of the students is valid, therefore it has been decided that for the convenience of the students of ninth and tenth classes, only optional subjects or elective subjects and mathematics papers will be taken, and examinations of practical and other subjects will be taken. While the examinations of the eleventh and twelfth will be taken only in the optional or elective subjects Pakistan, while the results of all the examinations will be available by the third week of September.
