The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja said “Prime Minister Laptop scheme 2022 is being launched. Laptops will be provided 1 lakh students enrolled in Government universities and colleges on merit”.
Ms. Shaza Fatima further spoke about the laptop scheme 2022 in Pakistan and said that every year about 2 million fresh graduates are coming in the job market every year. There are not enough jobs in the government and private sector so about 30% of fresh graduates do not get job and they remain unemployed. She further said that we have to make these graduate for skill full so they become the job providers so that they can give jobs opportunities to other. She was addressing the members of the “Green Youth Movement of Universities” at the Down University of Health Science Karachi.
Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja said more about the free laptop scheme 2022 that the government has an internship program for undergraduate students for private and public institutions in Rs 12000 per month. She added more that Pakistan we can bring Pakistan on the road of development by using our youth in the right way.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja added more in her speech and said that our youth is a major part of our population. According to the 2017 census we have 68 percent 30 year old, while the number of population between 15 – 29 years is 50 millions and there are 5 million people who are under 15 years of age.
She told that there are so many scholarships that are offered to students and it is just a waste of money as the students have lack of awareness. The current government is taking steps to give scholarships in different technologies and fields.
